Tina & Matic traveled all the way from Slovenia to a road trip to the west of US. During that time they wanted to tie the knot in beautiful Las Vegas! They fall in love with Nelson Ghost Town!
As a European Las Vegas Wedding Photographer, I am always excited to photograph couples from Europe, especially when they are from our neighbor country! ( .. and just find out, that my name, Edina means “the only one” in their language…)
They got married on New Years Eve in downtown than we did a photoshoot at nelson Ghost Town. On the way we stopped for a little bit at the Dry Lake Bed for some unique images. We were lucky to find some water there and got some cool reflection shots!
As Tina warned me in advance: ” although we are of course looking for some elegant pictures, we really want to make quite a few funny ones. Most of all we just want to have fun and create some great memories :)”
Despite of the very chilly weather I think we achieved their goals. We created some elegant images and also some fun ones!
Yes, it can be really cold in the winter in las Vegas! We are in the desert. The temperature can go really cold (around 0, when the sun goes down) and it’s chilly in the mornings as well. Don’t even talking about when the sun doesn’t come up during the day, keeping the temperature really low. Also some days it can be windy as well. The surrounding mountains has snow in the winter.
If you are planning a winter wedding in Vegas, definitely be prepared something around your arms, maybe a short white fair jacket, also maybe tights…. what keeps you warm!
